This month’s road safety goal is to prevent crashes that involve driver fatigue. Choose one or more of the following activities to help you reach that goal, using the recommended resources.
Basic

- Hold a tailgate meeting to discuss the risks of driving while fatigued, what causes fatigue, and what drivers can do to avoid it: What drivers can do
- Encourage employees to raise fatigue-related issues with supervisors or managers. Ask them about times they’ve felt fatigued behind the wheel.
Better
- Watch our one-hour webinar to learn practical methods for managing driver fatigue: Asleep at the Wheel – Not! Reducing the Risks of Driver Fatigue Webinar
- Do a risk assessment (identify, assess, and address) on fatigue and its risks among your employees who drive: What employers can do
- Train drivers how to adjust seats, head restraints, foot position, and mirrors before they start on their trip: Preparing your vehicle
Best
