About our Work Zone Safety campaign
Road Safety at Work’s Work Zone Safety campaign (formerly known as Cone Zone) is a provincial awareness campaign funded jointly by WorkSafeBC and the Ministry of Transportation and Transit. It is supported by the Road Safety at Work Alliance.
It runs year round, with an emphasis on the busy spring and summer seasons for roadside work.
Our goal is to eliminate injuries, deaths, and crashes in roadside work zones throughout BC.
Our campaign began in 2011 when WorkSafeBC and the BCAA Road Safety Foundation started a working group that became the Work Zone Safety Alliance and later evolved into the Road Safety at Work Alliance.
