Participants needed to pilot new online course

We are looking for people to participate in the pilot of our second fleet safety online course. The topic is identifying work-related driving hazards and assessing the risks associated with them.

The pilot will take place May 30 to June 10. The course takes about an hour to complete after which participants would need to fill in a short survey to let us know what worked and what needs improving. As a thank you, participants will receive a $25 gift card to either Rona Hardware or The Bay.

About the course

image001The course provides learners with a practical understanding of how to identify driving-related hazards and apply tools to assess the potential harm caused by those hazards.

The course explains and demonstrates two methods to help learners build their hazard identification and risk assessment abilities, and will enable them to apply the tools in their workplace(s).

Finally, the course explains what to do with assessment results - how to prioritize risks for action.

Both hazard identification and risk assessment are essential elements of an effective road safety program.
