Road Safety at Work awarded a vehicle safety kit with one year of roadside assistance to Shaun Everest of Tinhorn Creek Vineyards at the 2016 Western Conference on Safety this spring. In its 21st year of operation, the Western Conference on Safety is the largest and longest running occupational health and safety conference in Western Canada and the 2nd largest in the country.
Although Tinhorn Creek is located in Oliver, it wasn’t surprising to see their representatives at the Vancouver event as they are very invested in continually improving their robust Health & Safety program. They are the first winery in British Columbia to be recognized with an Occupational Safety Standard of Excellence certification. VP Finance & Administration, Shaun Everest, says, “We were excited to win the vehicle safety kit. We have many employees who take to the road regularly in their day-to-day activities and road safety is a priority for us.”
