(from Motor Vehicle Act) means a vehicle, not run on rails, that is designed to be self propelled or propelled by electric power obtained from overhead trolley wires. For purposes of applying the MVA, ?motor vehicle? does not include mobile equipment or motor-assisted cycles.
For purposes of applying the Workers Compensation Act and it?s Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, a ?motor vehicle? should be understood as any motorized vehicle that moves on wheels, is primarily operated on highways, and is used for transporting people, hauling or delivering goods or merchandise, or used in emergencies. It includes mobile equipment (as described in WCA) but does not include bicycles and all-terrain vehicles.
